STUDENTS MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE USING THE SELECTED CLASS(ES) OF LIFT TRUCK: SEE END OF THIS SECTION FOR MORE INFORMATION. This course is intended to give the skilled lift truck operator an understanding of the physics pertaining to lift trucks; to give an understanding of the seriousness of operating a lift truck; and to outline the responsibilities for operating a lift truck. This program specifies the basic knowledge and skill requirements for the safe operation of lift trucks and their attachments. This program follows the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) B335-04 safety standard for lift trucks.***** Class 1, 4, 5, & 7 are Counter Balance Lift Trucks. It is recommended that students have a minimum of 100 hours of experience on a counter balance lift truck prior to taking this class (new operators should enroll in Lift Truck New Operator Training). The cost of the course includes the theory portion and one practical test on a Counter Balance Lift Truck. Students may take additional practical tests at a cost of $75.00 per test. **Smaller class sizes may result in the student taking the theory in our computer lab with the instructor present to monitor and assist the student. Practical components will be taught in-person with the guidance and supervision of the instructor.
